Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Quadra ask for photo access?

Quadra uses Apple's system photo picker to let you choose a photo — Quadra only ever sees the exact image you pick, never your full library. A separate, one-time "Add Photos" permission lets Quadra save your cropped result back to your library.

Does Quadra upload my photos anywhere?

No. Cropping, color fill, and blur are all done on-device using Apple frameworks. Your photos never leave your iPhone.

What are the three background options when cropping?

After dragging your selection, tap Crop and choose: a transparent background, a solid color you pick with the system color picker, or a blurred version of the original photo behind your sharp selection.

Where do my cropped photos go?

Cropped photos are saved directly to your Photos app as PNG files, so transparency is preserved if you chose that option.

Quadra won't let me save — it says my selection is too small.

This is a safeguard to stop you from accidentally saving a sliver of a photo. Drag the corner or edge handles to select a larger area, then try again.

Which iOS version does Quadra require?

Quadra requires iOS 16 or later.

How do I report a bug?
