Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't BLESync find my device?

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone and the target device is powered on and in discoverable mode. Some BLE devices only advertise for a limited window after power-on — try cycling power on your target device.

Can I use BLESync without granting full Bluetooth access?

BLESync requires Bluetooth permission to function — without it, device discovery is not possible. We use Bluetooth only for the features shown in the app and never access it in the background without your knowledge.

What does RSSI mean?

RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) measures the power level of the Bluetooth signal in dBm. Values closer to 0 indicate stronger signal. -50 dBm is excellent; -90 dBm indicates a very weak connection.

What is GATT?

GATT (Generic Attribute Profile) is the Bluetooth standard for how data is structured on a BLE device. BLESync lets you explore GATT services, characteristics, and descriptors on any connected device.

Can I export my event logs?

Export functionality is on the roadmap. Currently logs are viewable within the app. If this is important to you, let us know via email — user demand drives our roadmap.

BLESync crashed. What should I do?

We're sorry about that. Please email us with your device model, iOS version, and a description of what you were doing when it crashed. This helps us fix issues fast.

Which iOS version does BLESync require?

BLESync requires iOS 16 or later. For the best experience, we recommend iOS 17+.
